TWO KPM CPAS & ADVISORS AUDITORS SELECTED AS LEADERSHIP SPRINGFIELD PARTICIPANTS
Springfield, MO – KPM CPAs & Advisors (KPM) is pleased to announce that Supervisors Freddie Young, CPA and Michelle Vepsa, CPA have been selected to participate in Leadership Springfield Signature Classes 39 and 40, respectively. Participation in the prominent Leadership Springfield Signature Class program prepares identified leaders and helps them understand and identify the community’s opportunities, needs, problems, and resources through an intensive, nine-month immersion program.
Freddie Young, CPA – Supervisor
Freddie has more than five years of accounting experience and provides audit services to clients in a variety of industries, including financial institutions. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Missouri Society of CPAs, and Missouri Bankers Association’s Young Bankers Leadership Division. Freddie also is active in the community, currently serving as a corporate mentor for the Missouri State University (MSU) College of Business program and volunteering with United Way of the Ozarks and The Salvation Army of Springfield, MO. In addition, he formerly served as a board member for the March of Dimes Southwest Missouri Chapter. Freddie graduated from MSU with his B.S. degree in Accounting as well as his MAcc degree.
Michelle D. Vespa, CPA – Supervisor
Michelle has more than five years of accounting experience and provides audit services to clients in a variety of
for-profit industries as well as employee benefit plans. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Missouri Society of CPAs (MOCPA), and MOCPA Young Professionals Committee. Michelle also is active in the community, currently serving as a board member for The Moxie, Springfield Ballet, and Ozarks Counseling Center Young Professionals Volunteer Board; a member of Junior League of Springfield, MO (JLS); and has volunteered with United Way of the Ozarks, Cents of Pride, Springfield Animal Advocacy Foundation, and supports various causes through JLS. In addition, she was recently named a Springfield Business Journal ‘Trusted Adviser Up-and-Comer.’ Michelle graduated from Missouri State University with her B.S. degree in Accounting.
KPM currently employs nearly 15 Leadership Springfield alumni, including a member of the board of directors, and is proud to support employee participation in the distinguished, community-focused program. The 2020-2021 Signature Class programs begin this fall with a two-day launch retreat and run through May 2021.
