Springfield, MO – KPM CPAs & Advisors (KPM) is pleased to announce Michael A. Nelson, a supervisor in the firm’s tax department, has recently earned his Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) credential. The CVA designation, awarded by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, signifies that the education, examination, and experience requirements for certification have been met.

“We’re excited Mike has earned this important credential,” said Travis Walker, CPA, ABV and KPM Management Advisory Services (MAS) department leader. “This is a great accomplishment, and as we increasingly serve a variety of clients needing valuation services, Mike will be a valuable team member and resource for the firm,” he added.

Mike has more than nine years of accounting experience and provides tax, forensic accounting, and valuation services to clients in a variety of industries. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Missouri Society of CPAs, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA). Mike also is involved in the community, serving as a volunteer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program and United Way of the Ozarks. He graduated from Missouri State University with his B.S degree in Accounting, MAcc degree, and MBA degree. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Mike is a Certified Fraud Examiner from the ACFE and a Certified Valuation Analyst from NACVA.
