iCare BBQ Cook Off Raises $3K for Harmony House

10/21/2021

Pearson-Kelly Technology and Guaranty Bank hosted a BBQ Cook Off Competition between Guaranty Bank’s CIO, Nick Lofaro, and Pearson-Kelly Technology’s Solutions Specialist, Charles Johnston.

The event raised $2,960.55 for Harmony House, with over 60 percent of that total coming from the BBQ Competition. At the end of the day, Nick Lofaro, CIO of Guaranty Bank and President of Springfield Tech Council, took home the BBQ King Bragging Rights.

In addition to the BBQ Cook Off Competition between Pearson-Kelly Technology and Guaranty Bank, there were also four other ways for attendees to donate to Harmony House. Pearson-Kelly Technology sponsored a Copier Smash, where attendees could donate $5 for a chance to take 3 swings at a copier with a sledgehammer or bat. Hurts Donut Co brought out their Emergency Donut Vehicle, sold 120 donuts and donated the entire sale price. Harmony House also sponsored a 50/50 raffle.

There was also live music, provided by Pearson-Kelly’s own Brock Glidwell and his band, The Blinkers. Not to mention pumpkin painting, inflatables and copier painting!
