BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF SPRINGFIELD Director of Programs and Prevention, Niki Kiruki, receives John Alesch Outstanding Program Staff Award

 

Springfield, MO (October 19, 2021) - Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield is pleased to announce that Niki Kiruki, Director of Programs & Prevention has received the Boys & Girls Clubs regional, John Alesch Outstanding Program Staff Award.


This award is given to an outstanding program staff member who helps run a high quality program, positively impacts children, and demonstrates the characteristics of a successful youth development professionals.


"I am extremely honored to be receiving this award. Truly means the world to me. I couldn't have done it without the support and dedication of the Boys & Girls Club team. I love what the organization stands for and I am proud to be a part of its mission,” says Niki.


Niki has been with the Clubs for over 15 years. She has served the Clubs in various capacities and has an incredible passion for the mission. Her work ethic and commitment helped the BGCS shift during COVID-19, producing over 450 plus hours of virtual programming to maintain meaningful connections with members. Niki also helps at the national level, as a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Training of the Trainer program.


"We are so proud of Niki and her continued efforts to provide meaningful, measurable, intentional programming for our Club members. Niki, and all those involved in program planning are integral to our mission. Niki’s leadership has been so important, especially in the wake of COVID-19, and we are so thankful to celebrate her with this national award,” says Brandy Harris, CEO of BGCS.


“Niki is a very passionate and knowledgeable Boys & Girls Club Professional. As Director of Programs and Prevention, she is ensuring that the programs offered to our youth are safe, fun, and impactful,” says Jeff Long, Director of Operations at BGCS.
