Upper School Mathematics Faculty (Grades 6-12)
The Summit, located in Springfield, MO, is a fully accredited, independent, non-profit, co-educational day school meeting the learning needs of students in Early Learners through High School. The Summit is characterized by its progressive, student-centered philosophy, academically challenging curriculum, personalized, “deeper learning” approach, motivated students, small class sizes, and talented, dedicated faculty.
Upper School faculty at The Summit provide instruction for a growing program consisting of approximately 60 students in grades 6-12. The ideal candidate will support and advance existing philosophy through project-based learning, differentiated instruction, and ongoing curriculum development. Math department courses may include the following: 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math, Applied Math, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Data Science. The Summit offers a regionally competitive salary in a collaborative and engaging teaching community. Initial one-year contract with possibility to extend. Reporting date August 2024.
