Ozarks Transportation Organization is a very stable, financially sound metropolitan planning organization with consistent revenue from the Federal Transportation Bill since 1969.
Hiring Salary Range: Depending upon education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in urban planning, geography, public administration, engineering or related field,
3 years of responsible experience in project management
Strong analytical and proven communication skills
10+ years of local, MPO, FHWA or State DOT experience in working with federally funded projects
Job Description Summary:
Relevant projects underway at the Ozarks Transportation Organization:
Review and Approve Change Orders construction projects
Fill out and submit forms and review program agreements to ensure timelines and funding amounts are correct.
Monitor Reasonable Progress on 25 projects in the OTO region.
Make recommendations and develop solutions to get projects moving.
Ensuring all federally funded transportation projects are delivered on time by working to meet deadlines.
Make recommendations regarding project readiness in order to obtain additional funding.
Serve as a resource to cities, counties and non-profits to better understand the federal aid process.
Attend project meetings as OTO representative to provide input on scope, need and multimodal desire.
Oversee planning and engineering studies.

Ozarks Transportation Organization (OTO) is a metropolitan planning organization (MPO) for the Springfield region. The OTO MPO is the federally designated regional transportation planning organization that serves as a forum for cooperative transportation decision-making by state/local governments and regional transportation/planning agencies.

Make a difference in the community through our sidewalk ADA improvements, construction and refurbishing, and signal upgrades for increased safety.
Roadways: Be actively involved in projects and priorities regarding environmental protection/enhancement, road/bridge/railroad/pedestrian safety, freight movement and economic vitality, congestion management, safety improvements (such as installation of railroad crossings, vehicle signal updates, and guardrail upgrades), and road widening, resurfacing, lane additions, and new construction.
