Job Summary
This is an entry level role; the ideal candidate has is driven by successful outcomes, has some work experience with SQL and BI tools, and wants to be on the ground floor of developing the resources needed for all stakeholders to thrive. This job includes daily collaboration with others developing data driven solutions to support baking needs and support data visualization efforts. Duties include developing metrics driven by team requirements and developing decision support tools to improve results. Work involves designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. Activities performed singularly and with groups to build in-application SQL statements and establish best practices for reports and procedures. Assists in resolving database usage issues and identifying ways to avoid problems recurrence.
Primary Work Location and Schedule:
- Hybrid work environment: schedule will require some on-site work hours and allows optional home office hours
- On-site: 3050 S Delaware Ave, Springfield MO 65804
- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday – Friday; occasional additional hours as needed.
- Full-time – 40 hours per week average
- Travel may be required throughout OMB footprint.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Computer Science or related discipline or prior work experience equivalent to
1 year experience with MS SQL, Power BI, MS Power Platform, and SharePoint
Strong experience in writing and editing documents and work product
Ability to translate business data requests into technical requirements
Disciplined in protecting and managing highly confidential information/material.
Effective time management skills (capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks)
Ability to be professional, composed, and assertive in all situations; respond with appropriate urgency to ensure requests are completed within expected timeframes/service level agreement.
Demonstrated self-motivation; productive, efficient, organized, accurate work output with no supervision while working independently and within a team environment.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with
Daily collaboration with individuals to facilitate production needs and audit parameters
Ability to apply strategic planning, activity coordination, and problem-solving techniques to complex issues of multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
