Job Description:
Performs a range of basic office support activities for the member services department, such as answering phone and directing calls, greeting and directing visitors, answering questions and performing routine clerical, data entry, and/or word processing work as assigned.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Provide information and support - Answer member services direct line, route calls, take messages and provide general information
Resolve issues – Address complaints and find solutions to address any issues to ensure satisfaction
Build relationships – Nurture positive and lasting relationships with our food bank members to build brand and partnership loyalty.
Assist with troubleshooting common issues and follow up to ensure they are resolved.
Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of partner agency information.
Conduct new member orientations, including food bank tours.
Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, copying, mailing and filing.
Maintain records for member partner agencies
Attend committee meetings, end of the month meetings, or other meetings as requested.
Support staff in assigned project‐based work.
Provide occasional front office relief for the Administrative Department.
Assists in special events, such as the Member Services conference.
Other duties may be assigned by Member Services Director.

Communication – Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with our network of members, potential new members, and colleagues.
Problem-solving – Ability to identify issues and find efficient and appropriate solutions
Patience and Compassion – The capacity to remain calm and understanding when dealing with upset or frustrated individuals.
Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Office 365
Time Management – The capacity to prioritize tasks based on their significance and urgency, enabling effective allocation of your time.
Product Knowledge – Maintaining a thorough understanding The Food Bank’s mission, products and services
Minimum Job Requirements:
High School Diploma
Proven experience in a customer service or similar role is preferred.
A positive attitude and a genuine passion for helping others.
Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations calmly.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
No or very limited physical effort required
No or very limited exposure to physical risk
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
