Marketing Manager

Position Summary: The Marketing Manager is responsible for elevating the public position of The Victim Center and its impact through visual and written content for external stakeholder audiences. This position will manage agency branding and marketing strategy across various avenues - including print, electronic, in-person, and event platforms. Broad coverage topics will include general agency services, volunteer recruitment, agency events and milestones, and fundraising events and campaigns.
- Brand Management
- Assist in developing brand guidelines and content for agency use
- Understand and utilize principles of inclusive and trauma-informed graphic design (fonts, color, images, and content)
- Adhere to consistent brand guidelines with all graphic design and social media
- Work with agency leadership to curate public story-telling to stakeholder groups, drawing focus to TVC’s mission, programs, and outcomes
- Graphics and Content Development
- Design agency print and electronic content including flyers, brochures, ads, promotional items, presentation materials, newsletters, and event collateral
- Write or edit copy for agency press releases, newsletters, marketing materials, fundraising campaigns, and other external communications
- Social and Digital Media
- Manage general agency social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
- Develop and implement social media campaigns for awareness and events
- Manage agency website content, including executing information, and content updates while working with web design vendor as needed.
- Monitor and report usage of social media and website
- Volunteer Recruitment
- Chair cross-departmental work group to recruit and implement a comprehensive volunteer victim advocate recruitment plan
- Write and design marketing materials to drive external engagement and recruitment of new volunteers
- Development Marketing
- Serve on cross-departmental work groups for agency events and campaigns, and implement related marketing and communication plans
- Assist in creating donor communications and impact messaging that drives engagement
- Develop marketing plans and event collateral for agency events
- Arrange media appearances and publicity
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- One year of full-time, professional marketing and communications experience
- One year of graphic design experience, including Canva
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, Windows, and Teams
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to report to work each day
- Ability to pass a national criminal background check and a Child Abuse and Neglect investigative background check
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time interchangeably
- Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds is required, but 20 pounds is helpful
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of trauma and its impact on victims; ability to communicate in a trauma-informed manner.
- Experience in website design and content development
- Experience in volunteer recruitment
