Manager Risk Analytics and Administration

The Manager Risk Analytics & Administration leads all technological and analytical initiatives of the Risk Management Department, partners with the Vice President of Risk Management in the marketing, negotiation, structure and management of the corporate insurance program, and manages all administrative aspects of the Risk Management Department.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Work directly with the Vice President of Risk Management in the marketing, negotiation, structure and management of the corporate insurance program.

- Manage the administrative aspects of the corporate insurance program, including coordination of premium audits, maintenance of collateral, and review of deductible reimbursement requests on historical insurance programs. 

- Manage the corporate non-insurance risk transfer programs, including contractual insurance requirements and certificate of insurance management for vendors, service providers, lessees, etc. 

- Support O’Reilly initiatives by ensuring that O’Reilly certificates of insurance are issued timely and accurately.

- Lead all technological and analytical initiatives of the Risk Management Department, including the proactive analysis of safety trends, claim metrics, etc.

- Lead the Risk Analytics & Administration Team, directly managing the Risk Analyst, Claims Assistant and Risk Management Intern positions.

- Generate and evaluate quarterly reserve analysis reports to ensure the internal reserve adequacy of claim related liabilities.

- Coordinate the design and distribution of Risk Management reports for all appropriate parties. 

- Direct management of all 1st party property and marine insurance claims in excess of insurance policy deductibles.

- Manage the department TeamNet site and coordinate department E-Forms, etc. to ensure that all content is current and designed to provide the highest level of information and customer service.

- Serve as a technology resource for all hardware and software needs of the department, including having a working knowledge of all TPA claim information systems and serving as a department resource/trainer for these systems.

- Manage the corporate surety bond program.  

- Coordinate the compiling of information in response to Internal and External Audit information requests to ensure compliance with mandated internal and external controls.

- Manage all administrative functions of Risk Management Department.


SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

- Strong analytical and evaluation skills

- Good negotiation skills

- Fundamental understanding of insurance products and self-insuring principles

- Ability to analyze and interpret insurance contracts and indemnification, hold harmless and risk retention contract provisions

- Proficiency in computer skills including word processing, spread sheet, and database programs.

- Excellent verbal/written communication skills

- Good oral and written communication skills

- Excellent attention to detail

Desired:

- Formal Insurance Education (CPCU, ARM, etc)

- 3-5 years experience in risk management or insurance related field

- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related area with legal & financial training
