Overview of Unit/Department

The Linen Attendant under the supervision of the linen services manager and the lead linen attendant, is responsible for the inventory, stocking and delivery of linen carts using a tracking program on an iPad. In addition, the linen attendant position may also be responsible to wash, fold and sanitize linens as necessary.

 
Job Summary
  • This position reports directly to the Administrative Director of Environmental and is responsible to help the department take costs out while still delivering safe, effective, quality services. Furthermore, they will assist members with maintaining and/or improving their current state through collaboration on the implementation and monitoring of process improvement strategies. It will require development and maintenance of a quality assurance process which ensures that all quality care standards and outcome based goals set forth by the department and health system are met.
Job Requirements
  • Education
    • Required: High school diploma or equivalent
    • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business related field
  • Experience
    • Required: Previous Managerial/Supervisory Experience
    • Preferred: 3+ years experience of working in Quality measure
  • Skills
    • Possess cognitive skills necessary for understanding terminology, electronic health/medical record (EHR/EMR), and instructions
    • Possess skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, providers, co-workers and others
    • Possess ability to communicate clearly (verbally and written) – specifically with members/patients and physicians. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, to correctly document patient’s progress and effectively present information and to respond to questions
    • Ability to work independently as well as possess team building skills in order to ensure a productive work environment and achievement of goals
    • Natural leadership qualities – highly self-motivated with ability promote critical thinking skills
    • Excellent data mining and computer skills
    • Develop a thorough understanding of the Prometheus payment methodology
    • Maintain working knowledge of national quality standards for providers
