JOB TYPE: Full-Time/Part-Time Intern

LOCATION: Springfield, MO

ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will support our organization in data analytical work, including investment analysis for new development projects, and the financial management of our existing portfolio. The Investment Analyst will also contribute to investor relations efforts, including managing our investor relations system and supporting ongoing investor communication. Additional responsibilities include assembling lender and investor presentations, providing local submarket and macro industry research support, organizing information for new development efforts, and participating in special projects as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Development Support

  • Organization of project and task management for new development opportunities.
  • Assemble comprehensive presentations for lenders and investors.

Investment Analysis

  • Conduct detailed investment analysis for new development projects, including local demographic interpretation, submarket competitive review, KPI performance comparison against existing portfolio.
  • Analyze and support the financial management of our existing portfolio.
  • Perform submarket comp studies and apply industry research to evaluate operational performance relative to set benchmarks for senior living, self-storage, and multifamily.

Investor Relations

  • Support investor relations efforts, including the management of the investor relations system.
  • Prepare and distribute investor newsletters and assist in ongoing capital partner communication.

Research and Data Analysis

  • Provide local submarket and macro industry research to support investment decision-making for new development and existing real estate portfolio.

Asset Management Support

  • Collaborate with the AM team to ensure operational performance meets or exceeds benchmarks.
  • Prepare analysis and reporting of portfolio performance.

Special Projects

  • Be available for special projects as required, providing analytical and organizational support.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of industry experience in a relevant field.
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficient to advanced in Microsoft Office Suite—Word, PowerPoint.
  • Springfield-based or willing to relocate to Springfield, MO.
