Commercial Loan Officer
Commercial Loan Officer
Job Summary
The Commercial Loan Officer position offers an experienced individual the opportunity to join OMB’s thriving team in the greater Springfield area. As a representative of the bank, this lender will be instrumental in helping expand OMB’s brand recognition while increasing our market presence by engaging with community members who can benefit from the products and services offered, with a focus on commercial lending activities.
At this level, the lender may have one or two direct reports, including loan assistants and developing lenders. The lender serves as a trusted guide for borrowers throughout the commercial loan process, from application through closing, and is responsible for managing their loan portfolio for the life of the loan. Portfolio responsibilities include overseeing draws, overdrafts, and past-due accounts. Loan Officers work closely with lending support staff throughout the lending cycle to ensure customers receive outstanding service.
The Loan Officer must demonstrate and apply a strong working knowledge of commercial loan structuring and funding options. With an emphasis on relationship banking, the Loan Officer is expected to identify and cross-sell additional bank products and services that benefit the customer. Loan Officers are required to maintain licensing through applicable state and national authorities. Compensation consists of a base salary plus production incentive and performance is assessed in part on annual portfolio management and growth requirements.
At OMB, we believe banking is built on relationships, not transactions. Our lenders are empowered to make meaningful decisions, develop long-term customer partnerships, and truly know the communities they serve. We offer a collaborative team environment and strong operational support.
With a growing footprint and a commitment to local markets, OMB provides the stability of an established bank with the opportunity to make a visible impact.
