Render Flooring is expanding the commercial flooring division and is looking for a highly-motivated Commercial Flooring Estimator to be a part of our team! This is an amazing opportunity to grow with a unique flooring company that values its employees and customers like family.

Role Description

The Commercial Estimator will be responsible for estimating the cost of commercial flooring projects and managing from start to finish. This includes creating estimates and takeoffs. The Commercial Estimator will work closely with clients and contractors to understand project requirements, and will use software programs to calculate the cost of materials, labor, and other expenses. The Commercial Estimator will also collaborate with our internal team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This position will have to field calls from project managers, superintendents, and owner representatives.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to determine flooring needs.

Conduct site assessments to gather measurements and evaluate existing conditions.

Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and installation.

Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to secure pricing and availability.

Develop comprehensive project timelines and schedules.

Manage projects through all phases, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.

Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns.

Oversee on-site activities to ensure quality control.

Collaborate with the sales team to support customer inquiries and proposals.

Qualifications

Experience in flooring estimating, construction estimating, architectural drafting or related fields.

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office or Google Drive.

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to interpret a blueprint accurately.

Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of professionals, including contractors, vendors, and clients.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
