Catering Sales Manager

Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield, MO is currently looking for a Catering Sales Manager. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and motivated individual to join our hospitality team.  This position will oversee, organize and execute all banquets to the highest standards of food and beverage quality and service. The Catering Sales Manager reports directly to the Service Director. Working in a team environment is needed for this position and requires a flexible schedule of days, nights, holidays and weekends to meet and surpass member expectations. The base salary is starting at $40,000 annually plus commissions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Plan, organize and distribute data for all private banquets.
• Meets with members to listen to their needs and visions.
• Builds a rapport with members that is personal and professional, but not intrusive.
• Creates quotes for clients to review and understand the projected cost of a banquet.
• Produces banquet event orders/invoices tor the members and collects payments.
• Oversee the booking and planning of internal department events, including but not limited to committee meetings, member golf and tennis functions.
• Interacts with kitchen staff, vendors, and service staff to ensure excellent service and member satisfaction.
• Ensures members dietary needs are met.
• Ensures proper inventory of all banquet service equipment and supplies are available for each banquet.
• Holds pre-function meetings with servers to ensure smooth, efficient service; assigns server stations and coordinates the timing of courses.

Qualifications/ Skills and Abilities:

• High School Diploma required; hospitality/catering/ banquet training preferred.
• Must be able to sit and stand for long period of times.
• Must be able to push/pull up to 40 pounds.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.
• Must communicate well both written and verbally.
