Business Development Manager (remote)

The Business Development Manager is responsible for revenue growth of DT Engineering's Automation, Tooling, and Services businesses within the assigned territory and targeted industries. Examples of targeted industries include, but are not limited to, cosmetics, Life Sciences - Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Consumer Package Goods - Food & Personal Care. This role serves as a primary customer-facing role within the company in a high-tech sector and is also responsible for generating and maintaining revenue-producing customer relationships. 

This role will cover the Midwest through the East Coast region. The position is remote, with Midwest candidates preferred.


Key (Essential) Responsibilities

1. Develops and implements annual sales growth strategies that will meet or exceed revenue targets. 

2. Meets or exceeds quarterly and annual revenue targets. Revenue targets will include Factory Automation Systems and Services business units. 

3. Manage sales opportunities following the current sales continuum process and provides weekly updates. 

4. Exercise due diligence in understanding company financials to ensure sales opportunities are profitable to the organization. 

5. Prioritizes time commitments with key business prospects that align best with DT Engineering’s revenue targets, financial health, and ideal customer profiles. 

6. Establishes and maintains relationships with target industry influencers and key strategic partners. 

7. Monitor’s competitor products, sales and marketing activities on a regular basis and report findings for review and guidance. 


Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or industrial engineering or equivalent (Mechanical or Controls Engineering emphasis).

2. Up to 5 years' experience in the industrial automation industry. 

3. Field sales experience or a member of a Society for Sales Engineers

4. Life Science, cosmetic, or consumer packaged goods experience preferred.

5. Ability to travel to customer sites and various trade shows. Travel includes out-of-the-area and overnight travel, inclusive of out of country. 


Primary Location/Schedule

1. Remote.

2. Full-time, 40 hours per week.

5. Flexibility on start/end time, but must have regular and predictable attendance.

5. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
