Join us for a mid-session legislative update with Senator Curtis Trent, who represents Southwest Missouri’s 20th Senatorial District and serves as Assistant Majority Floor Leader in the Missouri Senate.
During this conversation, Senator Trent will provide insight into the progress of the 2026 Missouri General Assembly, including key legislation impacting Missouri’s business climate, workforce and economic competitiveness. As Chair of the Senate General Laws Committee and a member of Senate leadership, Senator Trent plays a central role in shaping legislation and guiding policy discussions that affect employers and communities across the state.
First elected to the Missouri Senate in 2022, Senator Trent previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives and has been a leading voice on economic development, tax policy and technology innovation. A southwest Missouri native and Missouri State University graduate, he later earned his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and practiced administrative law before entering public service.
Senator Trent represents Barton, Dade, Webster and portions of Greene County in the Missouri Senate.
